  • Massive Dream Kit Ordered!

What's up my fellow Pearl Drum Peeps

After saving for 10 years (yes that is accurate!) I just bought my first new drum set in 31 years. I bought my dream kit, a Pearl Reference in Scarlet Sparkle Burst...

    Rack toms: 6x8*, 8x8, 10x10, 12x10, 13x11, 14x12, 15x13, 16x14
    Floor toms: 16x16, 18x16
    Bass drums: 24x18 (2)
    Snare: 14x5

*Pearl Masterworks in Scarlet Sparkle Burst, in 8" Reference specs, except I swapped 2 outer ply maple and 4 inner ply birch

I ordered this 13-piece monster on 1 April. I expect to receive this around Christmas (7-10 month wait time). There are no words to describe how excited I am. I have waited so long for this opportunity. I love power toms, and big kits! I finally was able to design my own exactly as I wanted it. I can't wait to show it off and play this! Hurry up and arrive December!

Sounds amazing! Can't wait to see some pictures and hear some clips! I bet the Reference power toms will sound outstanding. Do you have any pictures of the finish? Congrats!

That's gonna be a lot of Scarlet and a lot of Sparkle Burst. Should be epic. Looking forward to it setup. Rack, I assume?

          Congrats!

Holy cow! Might have to prep and buy a wide angle lens to capture some pics of this monster! Look forward to your pics!

I'm not using a rack. 6 and 8 on double tom stand, 10 on cymbal stand w TH1030s, 12-15 mounted on bass drums, 16 on cymbal stand w/ TH 1030s. I will definitely make an unboxing video of this

Mounting a 15x13" tom over a 24" bass drum? The absolute madman!

Envisioning the tom angles has me all nostalgic for the 80's.

Here's Dave with some flatter tom angles. Must be a backline kit.

Jon Larsen from Volbeat is keeping angles alive!
