Definately not! More glue and better clamps and it will be just fine.

It's a bass drum that will inevitably be fill with dampening material, patches placed on the head, and ports on the front. So long as it's structurally sound I'm sure it'll bring several years of gratification.

Yeah for anyone else in this situation, yeah I was hesitant to to put a lot of glue on it but it sounds great and it's holding up perfect. I can't tell difference in quality between it and my other one that's not cracked.

Just curious, how was the kick cracked, was it during shipping? If it was, can you say which company shipped it, you can pm me the answer if you want. Cheers.

More glue, more clamps! Light sanding if needed on the bearing edge and that drum will be perfectly fine.
I've been on the forum for 14 years??? What the heck have I been doing all this time??

Good work! There's a ton of glue in ply kits anyway; I'd doubt it be possible to tell a difference.

I had a hoop crack severely on my old ex, where the pedals clamp down. Wood glue and fiberglass reinforcement and it was stronger than new.

                  Again good work.
