    Hey Guys
Does Somebody Knows if Pearl has some kind of Program that involves Sending them a Shell drum for recoloring and then sending it back to the Customer?
I am thinking of adding an 8" tom to my Emerald Fade Ref. Kit. I found some second hand with other colors.
I don't know if it's a crazy idea of mine or is it actually can be done?
    Thanks

I don't think so. Never heard something like that for any Pearl series of drums . You'd better ask Al Percival though. Definitely not big chances......

Take it (and another tom) down to a local paint shop. You'd be surprised what they can do to match existing lacquer. It does get a lot more difficult for intricate paint schemes, though.

We actually do have some specialist that builds and paints drums. But because it has fade effect I'm not sure how close to origin it can be? !

          This is a great idea.

I had a few toms done like this. They were a solid color, so I don't know how well a fade could be done, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Mine came back looking as good as the factory finish, and it wasn't that expensive. I had a set of 4 Tama Octobans done for $300, maybe $350, I can't recall.
