Hello! I am new to the site. Well, I signed up a LONG time ago, but went away for a while. So, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris. I live in Nashville, TN. I am a young, working musician here in town. I work in many different circles here. I have been involved with pop, rock, country, and contemporary christian music. Some of the artists include grammy nominated christian artist, SONICFLOOd... Disney Artist, Everlife... country artist, Halfway 2 Hazard (currently on tour with Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean)... country artist Ashley Ray... and my "main gig" has been with hit songwriter and country artist, Carolyn Dawn Johnson... and many others. I also have a steady session work. I love life. I am very blessed.
I'm glad to join the forum. I currently play Gretsch Broadkasters (modern era) in a Satin Rosewood finish (with gun metal hardware). The sizes are as follows: 10x9, 12x9, 13x11, 14x11, 16x13, 22x18. I don't use this entire setup. I use different configurations depending on the session or live gig. I have numerous snares varying across the board: gretsch, Pearl, yamaha, ludwig, slingerland... I use ALL Pearl hardware and I play Zildjian Cymbals. Electronics wise, I use Apple computers, MOTU's Digital Performer, Stylus RMX for loop programming, MOTU 828 audio interfaces, Akai MPC 2500, and some other junk!
Anyway.... what you were waiting for.... I am about to join the Reference community. I just LOVE these drums. I have backlined this kit several times with carolyn dawn johnson, and just fell in love. I believe I will be getting the Purple Craze kit... but with black hardware. Ha!!! Fun stuff! Glad to be here!
