Ref pics: Crystal Rain vs Shimmer of Oz

I need some help from the PDF army. I am ready to put together my Reference kit. My wife LOVES the Crystal Rain finish. I prefer the Shimmer of Oz. Mind you I realize they are my drums, I wear the pants, who's the boss, and all that other stuff you guys are thinking that comes into play...However, my wife is my roadie and drum tech. She sets up my kit for every show I play. So I have to take her wishes into consideration.
What I really would like is to see any pictures you have of both of these incredible finishes to help us make a final decision. Especially from those of you who may have these colors and are gigging with them. I would love to see them both under stage lights.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

They aren't hard to find. Good ones like the one I have however....much harder. I couldn't play without her help. My back was destroyed while I was in the military, and after multiple surgeries I am not able to carry much or do a lot of bending anymore. She's a lifesaver for me. I would have to stop playing if she wasn't there.

Go to search and type in shimmer of oz and you should get some results. I think you should go shimmer of oz over crystal rain, but they are both fantastic, so you will win regardless. Congratulations on your future purchase.

I have a wonderful wife, but she doesn't set up my kit, but if she wanted to I don't know if I could sit there and just watch her do that while I was having a beer BS'ing with my buds. I don't know, maybe I could---good for you dude. However, in the end, your audience will remember your playing and the finish you have on your kit. They won't remember the drum tech, so I say get the finish you want. I know there are lots of pics on the PDF. Go to Pearl's home page and go to Pearl news. Sorry, I wrote my reply before I knew you had an injury. We must have posted at the same time. Now, I know why she sets your kit up. I thought she was just doing it because it was fun and a nice thing to do.

Well, she's a pretty hot drum tech, so they might.
I don't sit and watch by any means. I can't do that either. But, she handles a lot of the bending and carrying the heavier things for me.

Thanks man. I am a VERY lucky man to have her. We play 6 to 10 shows a month right now.

Yeah, I have had that same reaction at times myself I know exactly what you mean. Our gigs have been really good lately and paying for our weekly daycare, so she likes that.
