I'd assume they would but it would be a special order rather than something they'd have in stock, as its such a specific size in a specific finish. But yes they make 8" Ref drums.
More drums than you can shake a stick at...

You definitely don’t need to spend money on a Ref Pure, buddy.

Eh. Let the industry go around. We all know it needs the help.

There are a lot of mediocre drummers who have kits worth more than some people’s cars. Their kit is just set up in their mancave to use once a week. I don’t think it’s much different. It’s simply gear purchased that’s intended for or marketed to people whose “standards” of gear is higher than their needs or talent.

All of that said, unless he has incredibly deep pockets, I suggest saving his money for something else on his kit that can have more purpose and value than a custom 8” tom.

That maybe true but are you playing a set that is pro quality and if so which one.

What I play doesn’t really matter unless you are interested in my taste. It’s the same for anyone anywhere.

Buy what you want that’s within your budget. As long as it doesn’t make you and your family homeless, go for it.

Thats my point, so why would Mitch make a negative comment like that unless he is a newbie.
