My 18x22 RefPure BD is the best sounding bass drum I have ever had. I also currently have an 18x22 MCX, I think the RefPure is a deeper, fuller sound. Re being able to mix & match with the different sixes, since I got the 14x20 BD, the 18x22 has not left my house.

So far, I am going to have a 18x22 bass drum, 8x10, 9x12 and 11x14 rack toms and 16x16 floor tom. I'm thinking of getting a 16x20 bass drum and 7x8 rack tom in the future for more jazz oriented stuff. How does the 18x22 bass drum sound? I have heard it on youtube videos and it sounds really loud and lacking in midrange. It is the only part of my first order that I am second guessing.
Are you going to run the 11x14 over the bass drum? Just curious! Sounds awesome

That is what I am thinking of. I will have the 12 and 14 mounted on the bass drum and the 10 to the left. This way the 10 and 12 will be over my snare and the 14 will be closer to the floor tom.
