Stripped Screws Demon Drive

Hi All,

Definitely having bad luck right now. I received most of the parts for my demon drive warranty replacement, however, now that I'm trying to change the base plate, 4 screws begin to strip. There's absolutely no way I can take them out without taking it to the hardware store to get drilled out or something. Not too sure what to do since any "Modifying" to attempt and remove the screws may VOID the warranty. Maybe the two bearing posts can be warranty replaced? Just not my luck. Some help would be very much appreciated.

Don't drill them out. There are tools (screw extractors) that can extract stripped screws without damaging the world around them.

Get a little PB Blaster or other penetrating oil to soak in. Probably have to use a Q Tip and sit the pedal base flat so you can get a puddle to soak in over a few hours.

Then the screw extractor.
