tom holder for 12" rack tom for vision vbl concord fade

I have had this kit for less than a month and the tom holder broke today where you tilt the arm. i had noticed that the 12" rack tom was not staying in place and i would have to move it back in place the next day. i was practicing with the band i play in and i went to move it back and when i tightened it i heard a pop and i knew immediately that something broke so i took it off and saw a crack in the arm and of course it won't hold anything in place now. it makes me think that it had a defect in it from the beginning because that tom won't not stay in place and it was something that really could not have been seen because when i unpacked everything out of the cartons nothing looked like it had any kind of defect. i am very upset right now cause if you knew what i had to go through to buy this kit you would be too. i had to sell all of my drum equipment because i needed money as i was sick and had to have open heart surgery and my wife got cancer at the same time. i never thought i would be able to play or have a drum kit ever again. i had been on your website and saw this particular drum kit and showed them to my wife and she said that she new how much it hurt to have to sell all of my drum stuff and she wished she could replace them someday. as it turns out she noticed what kit i was looking at and found a way to get them for me totally out of the blue(what a girl). you can imagine how i feel about this drum kit when that broke it just upset me greatly. now, i am not blaming this on a defect i could have done something to cause it to break but i don't think i did but it has to be replaced and it is of course black which is probably expensive. i don't know if that is warranted but i will have to get a new one. can you tell me what i need to do to get another and how much it would be. even though i am disappointed about this i still love the drums they sound great and i was able to adjust the toms to the way i like without any trouble. i know this is not your top of the line kits but for what i could afford this was my dream kit and people might laugh at that but i have never beem happier with a kit in my life and this is my first pearl kit ever after playing for about 30 years. let me know what i need to do.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Pearl has a three year warranty on hardware. You should be able to go through the dealer where you purchased your kit. They will be able to assist you with the warranty. You can also send a private message to Gene at Pearl. He is on the forum. Just look for Gene Okemoto. He can directly assist you should your dealer have issues. Good luck.

Im sure if you post a pic of the broken tom arm that Pearl will certainly honor the 1 year HW warranty, that is if you bought it new aka are the original owner.
