Chill out dear, I understand the op's frustration but acting like an arse isn't going to help himOriginally posted by dwdrummer1991And I don't care if you don't like my drumming. I challenge anyone on this forum to a drum-off right now! I have played so long and studied so many different genres of music that I am absolutely proficient with pretty much anything I choose to do.

At any rate, chances are the OP has moved on, and doesn't intend returning to this page. I really don't think he wants help.

I think we all knew how this thread was going to end. It's only been a few weeks since the guy who wanted new longer spurs for his 10 year old kit that he bought used, and he wanted them delivered at no charge to him. I think that Pearl's lifetime warranty might prove to be a problem for them years down the road.
As for the OP, if you're still reading this, here's my advice. If it's only two edges that are problematic, find a qualified drum shop and have them recut. If you have them take off the minimal amount, you shouldn't have to do the bottom edge. The
going price is about $20 per edge. As for the splitting under the mount, you can get some wood filler and fill the area, or just put the plate back on and forget about it. It's been fine for 4 years and will continue to be fine for years to come.Drumming since 1961.

If there are defects on one kit - out of 100 or 500 kits made...it's pretty good QC. It sucks that it might be you that got the **** kit, but in this case one bad apple does NOT spoil the whole bunch. It's up to Pearl to see what the defects look like, and act accordingly. If they have a lifetime warranty, then let them try to take care of it. If they don't, then you know not to deal with that company anymore, regardless of whether or not it's Pearl. It goes for ANY company with a warranty and the ability to put their money where their mouths are.Yamaha: LC2014-TC1986
