  • My Pearl D1000 Throne Snapped.

Hey guys, was playing there the other day and realized my throne was getting kinda wobbly, and realized there was a big crack in the knut where the spindle connects to the tripod base.

I then picked it up to get a closer look and it snapped completely off! I didn't think this would happen because I haven't had it for that long, and I'm not that heavy a guy and it hasn't been gigged much at all.

I didn't think this would happen with Pearl Hardware at all, and I'm surprised and dissapointed.

What do you think I should do about it?
I can take pictures if needs be.

If you are the original owner, and it is still under warranty take it to the place where you bought it, or contact Pearl directly.

Otherwise, I suggest you buy a new throne!
I own or have owned drums and cymbals made by every major manufacturer. My go-to kit is a DW Collectors series set.

Yeah I'm the original owner, but I think it's out of warranty since I've had it over a year.

Yea, that's great, but I'm not really sure how to claim for it?

              Niall,

I'm afraid the Lifetime Warranty only applies to the U.S. Please contact the store where you purchased your throne and ask them to contact Pearl Europe to see if your throne is covered under Pearl Europe's warranty.

              Than you.

Ok, thanks Gene, from what I've heard the store I bought it from, Music Maker in Dublin has very recently stopped being an authorised dealer for Pearl, meaning there's no Irish Authorised Pearl Dealer, should I still talk to the store, or would it be better for me to go directly to Pearl Europe with the problem?

Edit: Here's the photos, it's pretty clear from these that there's a fault in the metal:

                  Niall,

I'll let Pearl Europe know and someone will get back to you shortly.

I love Pearl! That is sooo cool that they are standing behind the product and that's one of the reasons that I'll be a Pearl player for a long, long time. (The fact that their drums sound fantastic has nothing to do with it. )
