I was kind of surprised that Pearl didn't expand the MCC line with a couple of popular lacquers this year. I figured they'd add a natural, a black, and a sparkle.

Lacquer is a different beast than tape; akin to putting a car paint shop in the department store gift wrapping cubby

You can order the Masters Maple Reserve (MRV) in any of the Masters lacquer finishes but it will come from the factory as a special order 4+ months lead time.

CUZNRED are you thinking of jumping up or over to MRV shells? The classic 4ply/4ply Maple shell! If you gig a Wrap will be far more durable and they might have most sizes that appeal to YOU in MCC.

It's a possibility, I wish they offered a matte natural or perhaps a couple lacquer sparkles. I am not a huge fan of wraps because they can blister or warp over time.

I thought so too, it would be in Pearls best interest to expand the line to add maybe a couple popular lacquers or even a matte natural or matte walnut. If pearl could get their top line kits in drummers hands faster, they will kill the competition. Many times when Pearl was in a running for me, the 6 mos to a year lead time killed them

And you can probably have them leave out the bass drum velcro strip!

Can you get a music city custom kit with a lacquer or satin finish? Or are they all just wraps????

For MCC wraps, I believe it is two-sided tape.

For now, MCC Nashville - (Reference, Reference Pure, MRV Masters Reserve) just high quality delmar wraps, satins, sparkles, oyster etc...

For lacquers (Reference, Reference Pure and MRV Masters Reserve) they have to be special ordered under Reference, Pure and MRV series.
