I came across a really clean solution I wanted to share. Every drummer should have this in their toolset.
If you have ever had issues with mounted drum mics slipping loose from the clips then this may be helpful for you.
This is ideal for any handheld style mics that do not have a built in mounts. (i.e. Shure SM57, Blue 100i, etc.)
Slip one of these silicon rings on the XLR end of the mic after it is inserted into the clip. Then plug in the cable and viola, no slipping out of the clip. Just be sure you get the largest size (17) or it might not be large enough to stretch around the base of the microphone. You don’t even need to get married to do it. XD
