Adjusting volume in headphones while recording

Hey guys. I’m new to home recording. I have as scarlett20i18 hooked up to logic x.
I want to record to a guitar scratch track and metronome without hearing myself in my headphones (condenser mics) or at really low volume. What is the best way to do this?
