Actually I was enthusiastic about the Mimic Pro until recently. Then I had to realize that you can only save the drum recording in the form of audio on the device. Actually bad that you only need the memory of the Mimic to record audio tracks of your drum recordings.
But then came the big disappointment when I tried to record midi to an external device (daw). Hihat CC messages are separate from normal midi??? Why? What were you thinking? Then I thought, well, there must be a workaround for this problem. Unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed. It´s not possible to playback an record the midi stuff without problems.
The Mimic Pro is probably the only module I know that cannot send a Hihat Midi CC via the standard channel 10. What nonsense is that? So much money for a module that cannot even fulfill the standard functions? Roland, Alesis and co can do that for 1/5 of the price. But cleverly done. In none of the videos is only received somehow on Midi CC. Even in the manual. But that's what everyone assumes these days. No, not in the case of the Mimic Pro. So you put a lot of money for a half-finished module. But we're not even talking about connections on the Mimic, which still don't serve a purpose after years, but are advertised with great success. See USB and LAN. The touchscreen is a cheek and just doesn't work properly. That's almost cheating.I expect as many 100s of others, that this problems will be solved with a firmware update as soon as possible. Because if it stays that way, I'll sell my Mimic. So it's of no use to me.
Thanks
