Just ordered a Heritage kit in the same finish as shown in the 2018 catalog -Tamo veneer with a satin reverse burst & natural rally stripes. 22 x 18, 10 x 8, 12 x 9, 14 x 11, 16 x 13 & 2 snares 13 x 4, 13 x 6.50. Along with the finish, the tone of the combination Mahogany/Maple sounds great (for my style). As well, the quote "Responds like the rumble of a classic roadster" made me sit up & take notice!! Lastly, I did order the kit with the Golden Ratio air vents, not sure how much of a difference this will make...
Was originally looking at a Mahogany/Maple kit from...DW... but when I saw the Pearl kit with SMALL STL lugs I couldn't help but feel that the (dated) DW lugs would cause restriction on the shell resonance.
Now, I just need to wait... & wait... & wait -about 6-7 months
