I thought about doing that on my last kit. I was going to alternate hoops and lugs. I was going to every other lug with satin and black chrome.

What made you decide on going with the 6 ply birch for both snares? You could have done a 10 ply or 20 ply on the 13x6.5. Would it have been the same price?
