Eucalyptus is ridiculously fun to say. I'd go for that just because they'll all sound the same and I think it's a cool talking point during a break at a gig.

All would look pretty sweet, but I'd definitely get an artisan finish if I was forking over top dollar for a MW snare.

Emerald Fade over Tamo FTW

I know a guy here in NZ who bought a MW kit used by Mike Mangini at a clinic he did. It's a 3ply maple, with flame maple artisan. You can't see it too clearly on here, but it's enough to get a rough idea.

I also did a quick PS to see what it would look like in Emerald Fade. Again, not the best pic of the grain. I've always wanted to see EF over tamo, but this flame maple is hot stuff...

Flamed maple, everyone does tamo nowadays and flamed maple has a nice look while not being over the top and taking away from the emerald fade laquer.

everyone is right, tamo is overdone but so is emerald fade. go for emerald burst over flame maple.
