Loving my Masters Maple Gum (MMG) in the "Hand Rubbed Natural Maple" satin wood finish (colour #186).
The finish is beautiful and hopefully won't need any TLC for many years. But generally natural finishes need some care eventually to keep them in tip-top shape. For example I believe that DW recommend applying Tung Oil once a year or so to their "Satin Oil" finishes.
Pearl describe this MMG finish as a "Wax" .... I'm curious to know (ideally from someone at Pearl) what the long-term care regimen would be recommended for this finish? I'd like to keep the drums long-term so would be good to know what I can/should do down the track to maximise their lifespan.
