The search is over. I finally settled on a kit. MCX in Chestnut Fade. I've been searching for the right kit for me for about two years.

    I fell in love with this finish and found a matching snare. 6.5 x 14. The kit is 10" 12" w/ 14" & 16" FT's plus a thundering 22" x 18" virgin kick.

This kit also included a Pearl curved Icon rack. With the finish, configuration & Icon rack to boot, it was a no brainier. I planned in getting outdoor pics of the whole kit but they still need cleaned and new heads. Here's the snare out side and some other pics as well.

Congrats my friend! That is a beauty of a kit It is also rewarding knowing that all the waiting and searching has finally paid off, makes it double nice!

Also, I understand, when I got my kit, I took the time to strip all the hardware and clean every single piece, from rubber gaskets to tension rods to even taking off the bass hoop clamp and cleaning. It's worth it in the end!

Beautiful kit. Chestnut fade is one of the nicest MCX finishes Pearl offered. Enjoy them for many years!

you weren't kidding about there being a bunch of cymbals on there lol... I understand leaving the front bar as a stabilizer now.

Congrats once again on a truly beautiful kit.

Did he post an audio or video recording somewhere? I'd like to hear it!

I'm assuming he just meant MCX's sound great in general... at least that's how I read it.

No video. I believe MattKeaton and Quicksticks were just referring to the over all sound of the MCX kits. I will be changing heads on the kit for sure. When I can decide on the right heads for the kit.

I'm open to suggestions and would like other MCX owners to offer their opinions and experiences with these kits.
