Thanks Al! As you know, the finish is so hard to capture in its true beauty in photos. It is really one of the best looking finishes ever! Glad I got a great deal on it. Thanks for all the help and info

You have 1 beautiful drum kit LD! The Chrome is soooooooooooooo much more complimentary to Ocean Sparkle to my eyes than the Satin.

Also like your starter kit! Tell the children to "Stay off of my Masters!"

Thanks Lonny! I personally like the chrome better on this finish better as well. The satin is nice, but my taste is the chrome!

Right next to the starter kit is my old (1986) exports that is the kids kit as well They are also the reason I got the s-hoops. I like the mastercast hoops, but with a 10 and 4 year old that do play this kit from time to time, the s-hoops will protect the bearing edges until they are more skilled. Plus, the s-hoops are very rigid and tune up similar to the mastercast. Not to worry, I put the mastercast back in the box those came in and am keeping them safe until their return!

And the sound.....pure beauty. Can't believe how much better the masters sound than my old drums!

Eric and I felt that sound difference at almost the same time and were in disbelief most of the time! 6 ply 7.5 mm Masters Rule! Love your snare too!

What a great kit! Always adored that finish. Love S-hoops but they make clipping on mics a challenge.

Thanks! I knew I liked the finish, but had no idea how much I would love it until I saw it in person!

The sound is something else for sure! That's my favorite snare...I have the maple and steel shells for it as well. Hopefully I will add a few more to it in the future!

Thanks! I never really thought about the mic clips, but I can see that being a challenge. Using my Tune-Bot was an adventure enough, but it stays well enough for what you need it for. I will have to remember that though, the mic clips I have are all clip on.

Thanks Matt! It is very comfortable and even fun since it is such a change I have more cymbals and some other percussion stuff I plan to try out in the set up as I go along. That's been a really fun part, trying to make things work in a way I haven't set them up in a long time!
