After selling my Ref kit there was some disappointment, but I am stoked to have such a great Masters kit and a set up I can get much enjoyment from.

I love that finish. I feel like guys like us are a dying breed - drummers who don't push their 2nd floor tom way out to the right. I don't find that comfortable or practical but I guess it looks cooler in pictures, having a wider kit with more floor tom exposed. Anyway, great kit!

I like to keep my second floor tom close, BUT I find that uncomfortable too. I was going to experiment with placement of the 2nd floor tom when I get my new tubs. On my last 2 kits, I noticed the stick marks on the 2nd floor tom batter were off-centered, much closer to the 1st floor tom. I think I'm uncomfortable with twisting my trunk that much. Maybe I can find a happy medium with the new set-up.
