Ok everyone,
For the a long time now, I have been trying to find a way to use the air suspension feet on my older Masters MBX kit. This thread applies to all who have the older style FT brackets (LB-30) and Legs (LG-30) that want to use the newer LG 200 FT legs with air suspension feet.
I went to Lowes and got some clear rubbing tubing in the plumbing department. You'll need inner diameter tubing of 3/8 with an outer diameter of 1/2. They have exactly that. Once you have the tubing, cut it to the same length as the bracket that holds the FT leg. You won't be able to slip the tubing over the LG-200 leg with the air suspension feet without cutting all the way straight down the tubing. However, it doesn't matter, you just open the tubing up after you cut it and wrap it around the LG-200 leg and it assumes the diameter of the LG-30 leg that goes with the older style LB-30 brackets. By doing this, you are now able to use the air suspension legs without permanantly modifying anything and they don't slip once in the bracket. So far, 6 gigs using this and everything has worked perfectly. IT'S SO NICE TO HAVE FULL SUSTAIN ON THE FT THAT I HAVE WANTED FOR SOOOO LONG. It sounds lovely!!!!!
Hope this helps all of you who have the older style LB-30 brackets that want to use FT legs with air suspension feet LG-200.
Gonna post in General Discussion as well.
