This is the 1st MCA Kit I've seen with the necessary add on FT. The 8" tom is also a winner! I have to say I loved the"Honey Burst" before but now I really want one! My drum fund = $0.00. Glad I also love Red Glass!

    Beautifull Drums and outside pics!

I'll sell you mine for...... One Million Dollars....(Dr. Evil laugh)....

Seriously, this kit just keeps getting better. The more I tweak the tuning, try different pitches, dynamics and tone go hand in hand and stop at nothing. I was thinking today that another 10" tom would be killer! Weird, I know but I don't want another big tom over the middle. Though it would be cool to have a 14" tom suspended to my left even though the 16" floor tom may end up over there eventually.

I had 2 10" toms on my last kit and they're so easilly tuned apart. I now prefer the 18" over the 14" to keep company with the 16". The left side of my kit is allready the most crowded; so a 14" is out for now.

Here's the kit set up in a friends home studio. The kit sounds great but we already knew that right?

Glen... how well did they match your add-on components? I've seen additional toms for MCA come out very different. I am getting the ruby burst MCA, and requested that the whole kit be made together for matching purposes (and Pearl said that was OK).

              Awesome kit (again)! REP!

They came out perfect if you ask me. The one thing to remember with the mappa burl is that no two drums will look exactly alike due to the wood grain patterns. The finish/color itself is perfectly matched all around. Check out these pics of the 8 and 14" toms and the whole kit. They blend together perfectly, seamlessly. Beautiful!

That is a very special finish. Seems to have a slight glitter in the lacquer which reduces the gloss a touch. Love to see a shell in person. The Duke of Burl it's called! Glen your kit is just awesome.
Interstingly, my old sessions kit is wrapped with what must be a mappa burl wrap in a natural look. I guess I just gravitate to mappa!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. That kit looks GREAT! I love the finish. One of the best I've seen.

These are some of the most beautiful drums I have ever seen! I can't wait to play them later today!

The shellpack is the only thing I have now, the other drums are going to be here later in the summer and fall.

                        Here is the shellpack:
                        22x18
                        10x8
                        12x9
                        16x16

                        Expecting the following:
                        14x6.5 Snare - August
8x7 Tom and 14x14 Floor Tom - November

Eric, I love them. The ambassadors, I'm sure are great if you have the patience to tweak them all the time. That's been my experience in the past. Pinstripes are easy to tune, of course it helps to have a great drum to put them on!

They sound warm and toney and resonate just like I like them too. The floor toms can stop your heart!
