Could someone at Pearl post a picture of what the new bass drum claws look like that are now standard equipment with Masters Series Drums? I understand they have a rubber lining inside. Thanks, Rich.

      RE: PICTURE

Thanks Gene for sending the requested picture. I may look into changing from the standard claws I have to these oneday. Can I get prices off the Pearl Web Site? Thanks, Rich.

              Rich,

The D-054 claws have a suggested retail price of $5.00 each. The rubber adds thickness and makes these claws sit higher on the hoops. Therefore they should be paired with CL-250 tension casings that are designed to work with the D-054's if you want the tension rods to line up relatively straight. If you change only the claws, the tension rods will go slightly "downhill" toward the tension casings. Try putting a D-054 on your bass drum and see if the angle of the tension rod bugs you then decide if you want to change only the claws or the claws plus the tension casings.
