Auditioned with this kit last weekend. Amazing sound and always chock full of compliments on the kit color / setup.

*seeing that I own one
No favorites - that's why I have two BRXs

AndyMan! Nice drumsLove your setup. Now that I'm putting 2 and 2 together, I realize that your kit is one of the reasons I decided I HAD to have MNF w/black. Awesome!
Really love the black resos.
I might be bugging you with tuning questions. I'm new to birch so I might be trying to get a sound that is only meant for maple drums. I'm used to lower pitched, warmer sounds... These guys have huge attack and maybe need to be pitched a tad higher? Dunno...haven't messed with them enough yet.
At any rate, cool drums! What kind of music do you play?1985 MLX Red - 22,10,12,13,16,18
2007 BRX - Midnight Fade 22,20,10,12,14
2007 Vision - Blue Strata 22,10,12,14
Snares : 1985 14" x 6.5" Free Floater w/copper ; 14" x 5.5" BRX Midnight Fade ; 14" Piccolo Free Floater w/red hand-hammered brass ; 14" x 5.5" Sensitone (Vision)

I just bought the same kit, except with chrome, I have 22x18 (virgin), 16, 14, 12 and 10 all hanging, and custom matching midnight 14x6.5 free floting 10ply keller maple. Full set up with all new paiste alpha cymbals, and the biggest ICON rack you can get (just not using it all until I get my 2nd bass and last tom, which I cannot find for sale anywhere...), anyway...
I am getting ready to have ALL my hardwear coated by a pro locally. I got a killer deal, cant pass it up. I was orignally going with the black, like yours, which is a classic, killer look, but I LOVE SATIN as well... Cant decide because I cannot find midnight fade pics with the silver satin hardwear...
Anyway, looking at yours is making me want black again. What ever the color, I am having my entire rack, booms, everything done to match (all for less then $200, because the guy had "NO IDEA" what to charge so I told him what I would like to pay and he said yes.... LOL)...sigpic

your right, the sound is why I paid top dollar for masters. This is my 1st birch kit, and I must say... AMAZING... Not like I thought (thought it would be brighter then maple)... My opinion is they are deep, thunderous, monster sounding. Clean, pure, wow... just cant say enought about my BRX, its the best sounding set I have played (and I have owned MMX, MRX, Sessions maple, keller custom maple kit and more before...)!!sigpic
