Multiple reasons I'd make that kind of decision.

It's hard to pass up a good deal on great sounding drums with MW hardware.
If I sold my kit I'd have extra cash I could use.
Those maple kits sound great.
I haven't been playing much lately.
I really love my Masterworks, sometimes it is just difficult to justify keeping it when I could sell it and have some extra money.
Kid$$$$$$$
I want to teach my kids how to play but not on a Masterworks kit and I don't have money to buy another kit, practice cymbals, pedal, etc.

I probably won't sell my kit, but it's been a thought in my mind recently.

Nice to see you thinking wisely, especially now that you have children to think about. Now that both my kids are in college, I have really grown up with my spending.

I'm pretty sure I ended up with that 18x22, 9x13, and 16x18. Bought them a month or so ago... Whoever had them most recently put them on e-Bay and they were the exact color and sizes I needed for my Heart tribute band, All Heart. I ordered a matching 16x16 that should be here in 8 or so months. Anyway, these drums are showroom perfect, absolutely beautiful, and they sound amazing! Planning on using my 1985 Super Gripper brass shell snare with them. Can't wait to see them under stage lights when all this COVID
