  • What, no tom mount on bass drum

I’ve been looking at this set recently and today just notice/didn’t see any Tom mounts on the bass drum. As a super novice I’m just wondering if sets of Tom mounts must also be purchase separately or can a bass drum mount be added to the bass drum.Click image for larger version

    Hey N.D.,

You should be able to order (or special order) any of those bass drums with the BB3 Tom Mount from any authorized Pearl Dealer by asking for the right model number.

When you look at Pearl's new product website:
    1) Click on the model of drums you are interested in. (Let's say Masters Maple Reserve as an example.)
    2) Either scroll down to the "Configuration" part of the page, or click on the "Configuration" quick-choice located in the hash marks on the toppish-left part of your screen.
    3) Once in the "Configuration" section, click on "Components" box towards the bottom of your screen.
    4) While in "Components", scroll down to the Bass Drums section. Note that you can order your bass drums with or without the BB3 mount. (BX at the end of the model number = without mount. BB at the end of the model number = with mount.)

Some folks like to have the drum mount attached to their bass drums (like myself), others don't. Thankfully Pearl gives us the option to choose what we like (or need) for our particular situation.

I hope that this helps you out when you are looking to configure your perfect Pearl Drum set.

Ok, thanks. I thought It was part of all drum sets no matter what make/model it is. That site really doesn’t explain nothing unless you know about drum parts.
