Hey check out http://vicfirth.com/ for the George Mason Drumline podcast!
Though I'm no longer a member (was bass 5), they're still my school and I'd love to promote them as much as possible. If you're in the area, look out for them at local AIA competitions, and if not, check em out in Dayton for WGI Championships.

I think that's awesome that GMU has a line now. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see them this year, I'll be with Yorktown H.S.

Is that tall tenor player the one from Chantilly?

          Another local guy checking in...

I went to GMU. Back then, we had no drumline. This was between 1995 and 1998.

Yeah this is our first year competing, last year was just a pep band kind of deal. For a first year line, I have never seen or been a part of a drumline with this much talent. From the instructors, the drum techs, right down to the battery and pit, there is so much talent. The drill, from what i've seen is nasty and the book is ridiculous. There is no shortage of chops going around, that's for sure.
This year's show is called "Buzz". But that's pretty much all I can tell you, you'll just have to check em out live.

Correct. The green drums belong to GMU, but Chantilly used them at WGI shows last year.
