I have played pearls for yrs. and have a very old pearl double pedal that I love....but this pedal has been "gigged" to death....Im playing 16th and 32nd notes a 1/3 of the time in my music gendre'....Is the Eliminator for me....and people who have owned 1 and used it for at least 6 months please respond...because I read earlier that some people hated theres after a few months....

I used a DB Tama pedal for about 14 years, and it still works! I switched to the DB Belt drive Eliminator 1 month ago and I love the way you can dial in precisely what works for you. Between the interchangeable cams, the footboard adjustment, the beater angle adjustment you can experiment and tweak.
I found I wasn't immediately thrilled, that's because I had become used to a certain pedal, and I compensated for it. My muscle memory was anticipating a certain rebound, resistance, etc and you just have to accept it will be different with new equipment. Be patient, experiment, and eventually you will either set it to feel just like your old pedal - or in my case - greatly improved. It's nice to know that your setting is "in there somewhere" and that what's nice about all the options.
I first tried the red cam, and settled on the blues. I reduced the default beater angle to the head and put the footboard on light setting. My spring is about 1/3 of fully tensioned on the right, slightly less on left.
