  • HELP! Icon Rack with Double Bass

I've seen a few threads discussing adding a second bass drum with the Icon Rack DR-503C curved rack. I want my bass drums really close together and I'd just like to expand the rack a little bit. What are my options? Can I use 2 of the RJ-50 and 2 of the RJ-100 to extend each side? I don't want to cut and I don't want to switch everything to Gilbralter. And I really don't want to buy additional legs.

    Will my idea work?

    Thanks,

    TD

You can do it without RJ-50's, as seen here by the idea's originator (PDF user Majyk Oyster)

However, these *may* be 20" kick drums, I'm not sure.

If you are struggling for space, you can definitely extend with a couple of RJ-50's, like the way Mike Luce has his here

i purchased the dr-503c 3 sided curved racked like a year ago ...the bulk of my kit however, is just on two of those sides and an rj-50 so depending on your kit , maybe that would work for you
but also ...go look at the main page , under icon racks ....there are A TON of new things one can do now ... theres like a ton of new clamps and such ..you really reference that page , you might be surprised
