  • Throne - wheeled? Or not to wheel???

I have a Roc-n-Soc that I love, but I'm beginning to regret the three legged static stand, over one that rolls.

What is the consensus here? Thrones that roll? Or, like mine - don't budge!

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean a throne with actual wheels on it? Like, you could push it around like a doctors seat?

Why would you want it to roll? When i'm sat behind the kit, I wouldn't want to think about my stool rolling away with the force of playing. not sure what the advantage would be, surely you'd sooner want it to stay put.

            So, no wheels FTW. Cool.

I've played on enough hole in the wall stages that if my throne had wheels I'd just roll off the back of the stage!

I've done that without the need for wheels

Do any major drum manufacturers even offer wheels on their thrones? There’s probably a reason they don’t.

No wheels makes better sense, for sure.

While I don’t see a need for wheels, I think there might be a case for swivel seats.
