  • Pearl Eliminator hi hat problem.

    Hello everybody.
I require some advice regarding my eliminator hi hat. On packing up my hi hat, it seems the little connecting rod that the main large pole screws onto has broken free from its base along with a little washer.Despite repeated attempts to reattach the connecting rod, there seems no way to do so.

Has any body had experience of this happening to them and how to rectify the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

That does not look good. I have a Eliminator Hihat Stand myself and never had this problem. Might wanna contact Pearl direct at their TN headquarters see what they suggest you do.. You may have to send the hihat stand to your dealer to be replaced under the lifetime warranty (Pending of course you bought new and not second hand)

Good luck with the issue I wish I could help you but this may be your only option.

Paging Mr. Percival! Paging Mr. Al Percival!

The rod that screws into the main (footboard-attached) rod has sheared at the threads. You'll never be able to fix that as both rods are effected.

It will absolutely work. It was addressed by a very knowledgeable forum member in your thread.

Also OP have you tried using JB Weld or something similar to re-bond the metal to remove the broken bit? You could just order a new rod after that.

Thanks for the responses folks...I am gutted this has happened...Looks like metal fatique of some sort. I will try the JB Weld approach . I believe the cost of shipping to and from Pearl will be prohibitiveley expensive from this part of the world and not viable with the cost of repair.

                  Hello guys...
An update.....I managed to self repair with the aid of a plastic circular washer and strong super glue top and bottom. Little connecting rod glued to the top of the washer. Attached long rod and so far working fine. Fingers crossed.

Yes the newer H2050 redline footboard will work on the older H2000/C eliminator Hi-Hat.
