Anyone else like these black Tama Speed Cobras? I think they look sharp with the black and copper but I'm not replacing pedals just for color.

I should rephrase that... The average guy who plasti dips from what friends I have seen do car parts and stuff end up with a finish that lacks durability.

I think those look like some of the best pedals I've ever seen. I'm not even a Tama fan

The new Cobra's are just very boring looking in my opinion.

Silver, black. Hell I had some mapex pedals before and they were yellow. I really don't think color is a big deal. Functionality is more important. My Current pearl Eliminators are silver. My Iron cobras were black, and like I said I had some Mapex pedals that had yellow on them. Id buy a purple pedal if I thought it would work better for me than the others.

Yeah. They're not the most cutting edge from an appearance standpoint.

But look at the heat DW took on their DD pedal design. http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/sh...w-direct-drive

                    Maybe plain is better/safer?

Oh, don't worry. My comment in that thread was not very supportive either.

The old IC's were good looking pedals. The new IC and new DW are just ugly. Don't like them.

Someone who didn't know drumming looking at either pedal would walk away thinking the dw was homemade and the IC was cheap.

Chances are, that person would be a bass player. And no one gives a **** what bass players think
