I really like the first two.

No one is crazy about the name, but it is growing on us. We were searching for something that stood out in a way... Calling Clarissa was one also. Then we heard someone say Calling Off Doug in reference to calling in sick to work just because you didn’t feel like going. We figured we are a party band and hope people have a blast at our shows, so much so that they have to call off work. So why not name the group that?

Our one member hates the name. The other four of us are indifferent but it’s growing on us. Every show we have at least 2-3 people asking us who the hell is doug and what is he calling off from.

I can't remember where I was posting the progress in the John Edwards Band album, so I'll just drop it here.

I have 5 drum tracks now done and they have a few guitar and bass tracks done for some of them.

It's hard to get this done when we're still writing the songs and o let working one day a week on it, but we are certainly pushing forward.

Being realistic, I'm hoping that by this time next year we will have a completed album... it may happen sooner, but I kinda doubt it.
