    Are PDP drums made in China?

    Well the answer is yes, well most of them. I don't know if we already have a thread here about this one. So uhmn.. well I was thinking getting a PDP blackout snare, when I was looking for some reviews, I saw a thread that says PDPs are made in China (I'm not against China made drums) that I always thought and lot of people thought that PDPs are made in Ensenada, Mexico, that's correct but not all of em because I emailed DW and their answer is "The only PDP drums that were made in Ensenada were the CX,LX,MX series" tadda! So basically others are made in China. Anyways, I'm still getting a Blackout snare. I hope this would help to clarify the PDP production confusions. Thanks!

    This is mostly common knowledge, but thanks for the refresher. People who purchased Platinum series kits right before they were discontinued (after the Mexican factory closed) will have a made in the USA PDP set.
    I own or have owned drums and cymbals made by every major manufacturer. My go-to kit is a DW Collectors series set.

        I just got a PDP 8 x 14 limited snare and yes it is made in China. Pretty sure all drum companies make their entry level and lower cost stuff there or where ever the cheapest labor and production coasts are found. I have a PDP 6 x 10 805 side snare ( same as blackout) and love it, I love all my PDP drums, great build quality. Let us know how it turns out.
