I'm a few days away from ordering a set of Pearl championship maple quints from guitar center online, but I have questions that i really need some clarification on please. Firstly is assembly of the drums needed, I'm assuming yes but I don't know, second do the drums COME with a backbar with them if so, what kind of backbar is it? I know it will not come with a harness or stand but I have a few extra harness' (2 different types) that I was hoping I Could use. Any info on this would be great, I really need to know this stuff but couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks.

I don't think it comes with the back bar, unless you buy a harness. That's how it went for me when I bought a set of tenors, but that was back in '07. It could be different now. As far as assembly of the rest of the drums, I can't recall if they came set up already. I think they did. If not, they are very easy to put together.

I'm pretty sure they come with pre drilled holes in the drums, but the back bar attaches to the drum and harness attaches to the back bar. I think that when you buy the harness, the back bar comes with it as a set.
