  • Huge bass drums - a must see!

    I found this a long time ago, and re-discovered it while cleaning up my computer. I thought you all would enjoy!

    They are called "Lambegs" and are a traditional Irish or Scottis drum usually used with the a Flute Bands of Ireland and Scotland. They artwork on some of these drums is beautiful and historical. Many of the drums are a hundred years old or more. They are,were associated with the Loyal Orange Lodge Flute Bands ( Fife and Drum Corps) in the UK. The LOL Bands are still quite active to this day and often bring out these ceremonial drums on special occasions such as July 12.
