Anyway, the brass snare has a nice crack, still you gotta consider that it's 6 1/2" deep, so it has a considerable sustain and.. well, depth!

Very nice, especially on the cymbal selection. How do you find that UFIP crash? They interest me more and more, I'm on the market for an 18" crash to compliment my 16" AAX Studio and I'm thinking handmade 18", say an Istanbul or a Ufip. Any words of wisdom?

You may want to watch into UFiP Brilliants and Bionics. I think they would compliment any crash, especially the Brilliants.. Bionics are on the heavy side, so you gotta smash into them to fully appreciate their sound (don't smack 'em up too hard, they're also very fragile!)
