A while back I made a compact kit with a 16"X10" bass drum and loved the tight, punchy kick, so I decided to repeat the recipe.
This one features a 13" snare, 12" floor tom and a 10" rack tom. The shells are Hybrid Birch/Basswood/Mahogany which helps add some low-end to the small sizes.
I found some pretty groovy low-mass lugs with studded gaskets to go with it and wrapped it all in Walopus Cosmic Radiation Blue Pearl.
The bass drum riser is fabricated from a small cutting-board and a bracket from the bottom of a throne-seat. A regular Pearl-style tom bracket goes on the bottom of the bass drum. Connect the to brackets with a piece of 7/8" post.
