I'm obviously the odd man out since I don't like the black hardware, but I like that finish. It's too much dark for my taste.

Thanks guys. I agree with the 16" FT idea but it would have to be custom ordered since the black hardware is not readily available and I just don't have the money. I agree with the sizes not neccessarily being what I would go for in a perfect world - probably would've gone with a 12x9 and 16x16 - but realistically it doesn't matter to me much, the drums sound and look fantastic and I'm so fortunate to have them. Every time I see them I light up like a kid on Christmas.
I'll post more photos once the new heads and cymbal come, and I'll throw on my splashes as well..:: Pearl Reference Purple Craze Black Hardware ::.

Looking good! Just sold my #193 Ref snare to a guy who has the same kit with black hardware too. He didn't mind that the snare was chrome hardware. Tried to sell him a matching brand new Gong Drum but he couldn't take it.
