    ..cont

I bought this kit as the 4 piece with intent to order the 3 extra toms the same year, so this was it in 09

While I'm at it, a photo from a session I did a while back on a backline PDP I think, with my breakables

    My first drum kit ever....

....which I later rewrapped in yellow

I tried to get my masters in canary yellow, but it was only available with black rims, so this was my second option. I love this finish

Classy man, don't see that finish everyday.

Very cool story. I like that you choose different finishes to most people. Yellow and purple are awesome.

Cool. Its rare to see coated dots on the toms, how do they sound?

Awesome dude love that amethyst! I never would have chosen it but it looks great especially under nice lighting. Is that third tom 13x10?

Cool finish. It seems to change and re-invent itself in every photo depending on the lighting.

I recall them sounding a little harder than coated single ply. Currently on clear, I need to change the heads so I'm going to go for coated ambassadors I think. I want some more warmth and smoothness from them

Try the coated vintage ambassadors if you have the option, they are .5 mil thicker and sound great!

The base seems to vary a lot from grey to vibrant gold and the purple really shines under sunlight. Absolutely love this finish, one of the best decisions i've ever made. It was a bit of a gamble really given it was plucked from a few second choices. The tom is 14x10 I believe. 10x8, 12x9, 14x10. I sometimes wish I'd got the 12 and 14 an inch shallower because the 14 is a pain to set up as a rack but I usually either swap between offset 10+12 and 14 alone so it works.

Sounds interesting. Two plies = twice as good. Snare's still got an ancient controlled sound on it and it's just not delicate enough
