Drumcraft Series 8 Maple in Cream Mocca

I picked this kit up less then a year ago, and it is my go to kit these days. Sorry for the fuzzy pic (it is from my phone).

The finish is called Creme Mocha, and the hardware is black nickel. The toms are 6 ply maple, and the bass drum is 7 ply maple.

The kit pictured is as follows:

20" x18" kick
10" x 8" tom
12" x 9" tom
14" x 12" floor tom
13" x 6" snare

I also have the following drums, not included in this picture:

8" x 7" tom
18" x 16" floor tom
14' x 5" snare
10" x 6" snare (in black matte finish, with matte silver hardware).

I hope to get some new (and better) pics once I have it all set up.

Do you have a review of these kits? I understand that they may be out of business but it seemed like the higher end kits were pretty nice. I had my eye on a satin white with satin hardware kit before I got my Ludwigs. I felt like the unknown nature of this brand could bite me and went with a known brand. Why did you get them?

These drums are fantastic. I have owned quite a few kits over the years, and I can say these are the best sounding drums I have ever had. They also look as nice as they sound. There is nothing I don't like about them. The lacquer is beautiful, and the black nickel hardware really sets it off. Every little thing about the kit is done right, such as brass lug inserts, nylon washers, great "Puresound like" snare wires, Nickelworks throw offs, & top of the line Remo heads.

I wanted one since I heard Gergo Borlai play them, and I was just as happy with the sound once I got to play them. What really clinched the sale for me was a sale at Sam Ash. They were blowing the drums out as Drumcraft lost their US distributorship with Ludwig..... luckily for me.

I believe they are still in business, and may have worked out a deal with a new distributor. I would still love to get a 16" floor tom, and maybe another bass drum, but I am not going to get the same awesome deal I got before.
