The kit is great too. I also dig the smaller sizes.

Thanks, yeah the snare is a Pork Pie Black Brass upgraded with Diecast hoops and 30 strand Puresound Customs. My Sessions are in the cases you see in the background, but I'm really digging this little beater kit. I just sold all my big, heavy DW hardware and switched to this lighter Yamaha 700 series stuff. It's absolutely fantastic!

I might leave them like they are (at least replace the kick reso, though); but my wife said no way! The only way I get to keep them is if I make them look nice. Even so, I dig the smaller sizes (20/12/14) and the vintage vibe!

Offset lugs, unique exterior... If I was you, I'll leave the kit as is

But there could be a cool set with a new wrap or paint too. Congrats, your kit is stunning!

I love it just how it is, very cool! Im sure it will look sweet with a new wrap but it reminds me of a vintage tele that has really seen the road.

A little wrap and some elbow grease will go a long way. Have some more fun!

Gotta love these things man! 60's vintage MIJ kit. $50. Plus, a stack I made out of (1) a broken splash I got from a concert when I was in middle school and (2) a broken 14" Yamaha hi-hat top I got with a CL kit I bought and flipped. This is some of the most fun I've had playing drums ever! These drums actually sound fantastic! The plan is to follow Barjack's guidelines and wrap them in that sexy silver/pewter sparkle vinyl fabric.
