Tama drums should have a Tama rack.

Beautiful kit. You probably have it exactly where you want it, but I think the 8" rack should be moved a little left, and closer to the snare. It looks out of line compared to the 10 and 12 rack toms. Just my $0.02.

Yeah, for me it's in a perfect spot that ergonomically, when I strike the drum, the stick hits in the center of the head. From how I sit, everything flows real well!

Nice set up! Did you fabricate your cable hat to have the speed cobra footboard, or are they coming that way now?

Thanks. Yes, this is an older lever glide cable hat from the early 90s (I believe) which was heavily modified by me through the years. At first I removed the lever glide in order to make it feel more direct and to have a smaller footprint so that it can sit flush to the main pedal (I had to cut the base plate shorter and drill new holes). Later I found an used speed cobra footboard on the British ebay and just had to buy it, haha. Finally I got one of those fancy new Tama hihat clutches, so it's almost a Speed Cobra cable hat now. There was a guy on the Tama forum who did it way better than me though - used the whole lower section of an existing SC hihat, just removed the tube from the frame and installed the cable assembly in its place.

Very cool. Yours looks good to me. Is that a SLP snare in your rig?
