  • Strata White VSX: Now with cymbals!

Just yesterday my B8s arrived! I decided on getting the super set because it was actually the cheapest set available to me (even including all hats-crashx2-ride sets). They were bought over eBay from America and were delivered safe and sound.

I only have two cymbal stands excluding the hi hat stand so obviously I can't mount all the cymbals I received but I prefer the smaller setup.

I got my VSX about three months ago. Haven't changed heads or anything else due to lack of funds but that's alright, I don't really mind right now.

I really couldn't be much happier about what I have right now.
    Specs:

12x9 (not pictured but often switched with the 13)
    13x10
    16x16
    22x18
    14x5.5 vision sensitone

    14 hats
    18 thin crash
    20 ride
12 splash (not pictured; doesn't sound particularly pleasing)
14 and 16 thin crashes (not pictured)

    Pics!

Good looking set up. Are you planning on mounting the other cymbals later? If you prefer a smaller set up I would have spent the $300 on 3 nicer cymbals as opposed to 6 if you're only gonna use half...

haha yeah... I would've prefered 3 nicer cymbals too dude... it's just my folks that are still a bit unsold on 'this whole drumming thing'. They don't like me spending money and in Australia everything is way more expensive anyway. They only let me spend the small amount of money on these cymbals. But I'm still happy that I have any cymbals at all, so I'm not complaining.

I don't think I will mount the other b8's, I'll probably just flip em soon. As I upgrade my setup I will get a couple more cymbal stands.
          Thanks for the reply mate!

Your kit its stunnig bro, but you should try to figure out a new set up, maybe a taller one, because your set dont seems the accuarate for an a 4 piece. And i totally agree with you with tha drums and money jajaja i would say that you got lucky getting that Vision!

              Thanks man.

Also, if you saying that my cymbals aren't high enough (which I *think* you are) I am completely comfortable with them at this height. I prefer lower cymbals. Although since these pictures have been taken I have raised the hi hats just a tad.

Oh yeah man... I was so lucky haha. I was going to get a pearl forum but the store I was buying from only had visions in stock... my parents had nothing else to chose! My lucky day haha.

hey, cymbals! now theres a novel idea. amd i think the comment on setup was about the placement of your crash, but it looks really good apart from that.

Yeah I wasn't really sure what he was getting at there. Since my room is packed with so much crap I can't really find an ideal place to have my kit. I'm planning on moving some stuff out. With the kit in this position I can't really have the crash on the left, but I'm fairly happy with where it is now.
