Dude. That wrap is cool. I wouldn't mess with it. Coming from someone who has yanked a wrap off a slingy drum it's a real pain in the butt and in this case not worth it IMO. Bet those sound nice

Maybe. I recently used this kit for my jazz band rehearsal and they loved it to bits.

Nice dude! I LOVE tiny kits, but with Slingerland, it's even better!

Looks awesome! So what all did you have to do to them? Looked like they weren't in too bad a shape to begin with. Any work on the bearing edges, replaced any hardware?

Just recently got my father-in-law's '72 or '73 Slingerland (red sparkle finish) set out of storage and really have only given them a good cleaning at this point and replaced all heads. Toms were a little tricky to tune so I may need to look into having some work down on the edges, but they sound great.

Any other tips or good resources for replacement parts that you've found?

Unfortunately I was too caught up in the excitement that I didn't even think of doing that. However, I do have pictures of the drums when I first got them.

So you're not gonna rewrap them?
Nope, after giving the wrap a little clean, i've grown to love it more and more.

    The wrap stays on.
