I have a 14"x12" (?) floor (hanging) in my set-up as well but I think I'd prefer it actually on the floor. I'm curious if any drum co. sells something to convert a hanging floor tom into a floor-floor tom :-) ...short of drilling holes for brackets myself, of course!
thanks for the kind words! and yeah i know what you mean about the hanging tom. i like mine hanging. but it makes set-up a tad more difficult and tedious. something like this might help you though...

looks good man, real good! i love that finish, and your cymbals are great as well. very well set-up.

one thing i would suggest, if i may....

do something about the way your right-hand cymbal stand is. the one with your ride and floor tom on it. position it so the arm isn't boomed out so far. maybe put it closer to your bass drum, and angle the clamp/tom-arm differently. it looks dangerous, and i fear for the safety and well-being of such a beautiful drumset!

            stay classy.

              thanks!

and yeah. i can't remember why it was originally set up like that... that was the only way i could do it for some reason. but i just never changed it. it's really quite stable!

well, i'd suggest playing around with it a bit. it looks pretty stretched and unstable... but hey, if it works and seems stable enough to you, more power to you. just making sure your precious gear isn't going to collapse!

That's such a simple setup. I usually go for a setup with more cymbals and such, but this one is really nice! Great kit.

is that 18 inch K Cust Dark crash, dude? I have the 17 one, almost 10 years old, covered with soft dirts and dust, but no rust and/or pit..the sound is just getting better and better along with its age I bet you love your very much too!

Very nice kit, man! simple yet classy! and yeah, you can add one china, two splashes, and another crash..move the 2nd tom to your left side and get a 10 inch popcorn snare --> sounds Great, eh?
