but what you did fit perfect and is what comes natural.

Good sound quality and horrible video quality, but that doesn't matter, I really dig the groove in the video.

Cheers guys, Its only my phone camera... I don't have a digital video camera

The snare is a highwood 14x5.5 Vertical grain birch 10ply snare drum with 20 strand wires.

I assembled and did the finish myself...

watched that whole thing waiting for some shred. What a waste.

Nice playing, but thats it. Just nice. Do something next time!

See this guys knows. Sometimes the simplest groove is all you need to make a song complete. I would have played that about the same as you. Nicely done, very tastefull and the drums sound awesome!

Beleive me I love hearin people shred up a kit and just do insane fills. But one day I saw in a modern drummer mag of a characher done of a drummer audition. There was a picture of a guy just shredding the kit, triplets and speed fills and all of that stuff. The auditioner had a quote next to him that said "youre amazing". Then there was another picture of another drummer and all his rythem that he was playing was litterally "boom boom crack". Next to the auditioner was a statement "youre hired".

Lame description I know and I wish i could find the picture again, but think about it a little more.. Ok off my soap box... I just think sometimes shredding isnt necessary to make a song whole, but sometimes it is ya know... God I am lame today haha

Thats a cool comparison, similar to a real-life situation i've been in.
But yer, i like to think i brought out the best in that instrumental.

The drums were taken out of the track, and all i did was just put them back in!

                            Fair enough, thats your opinion.
But, to be honest, what you're describing isn't my groove. As you heard/saw in the video.

Your comment is a bit imposing don't you think?
