I finally got my dream snare!
That's right, after more than 4 years of intense drooling on pictures I finally bit the bullet and bought the snare of my dreams:
14"x 6.5" Jeff Ocheltree Spirit of 2oo2
Words can't describe the level of detail and perfection that this drum has. The sound is beyond my expectations, massive power, awesome ring and resonance and a very wide tuning range. Snares off it gives a true "Ticks-and-leaches-intro" sound. Overall I'm very pleased with it so far, it costed a fair bit but I'm very happy to have it at last.
The certificate wasn't included but I don't plan to sell it so that shouldn't matter all too much. It's got Jeff's name, a date and the serial number inside and that's enough proof for me.
